LoudLocal is a brand-new digital marketing support service with one fundamental goal: to support businesses looking to improve their business prominence in their local area.
Our wide range of services includes review and reputation management, directory listings, social media optimisation, website design and more.
We support brands of all shapes and sizes, ranging from sole traders right up to large multi-location businesses. It’s simple; if your company has a local audience, we can help you increase the volume in your local area (hence the name LoudLocal).
The pandemic is the reason we exist. Before the pandemic, I was in full-time employment, as was my partner (Priya). I worked as the Head of Marketing for a PLC and Priya as a Relationship Manager and Senior Project Manager for Vodafone. All was going well until the pandemic hit; we then both quickly found ourselves out of work and back on the job market.
Having applied for many different roles (without any notable success), while positions were available, it became common to see some roles have over 1000+ applications. So instead of losing all hope, we decided to roll our sleeves up and take matters into our own hands.
Finding our focus was the easy part. We are very passionate about locals, the community and the places that have given us many happy memories. It was heartbreaking seeing the large volume of closures on the high street and how our once-thriving towns and cities were reduced to ghost towns overnight. Equally upsetting was the closure of so many great service-related, catering and entertainment businesses that were unable to open during the lockdown and support measures that didn’t go deep enough.
Surely there was something we could do to help, but what was it? We noticed some businesses were highly effective at local marketing, whilst some were getting left behind. Companies that did excel were starting to dominate local search, for many terms including places to eat, services to use and places to go. Sadly it meant the businesses that struggled in this area or didn’t have the resource would inevitably suffer in a digital world.
So we combined my extensive knowledge of digital marketing with Priya’s broad understanding of project and relationship management and set about creating something that would serve as a lifeline to these businesses. A brand new service that would assist and help businesses who needed a lift up in the digital world; to assist in improving their local presence. A few days later, LoudLocal was born.
In all honesty, we don’t know. We are just starting our journey, and we are doing everything we possibly can to help spread the word. But we are in a good place; luckily, creating awareness of other brands is what we do. And that is what we are doing for ourselves.
We look forward to sharing our journey with you in the coming weeks, months and years. Thanks for taking the time to read this article and subscribe to our mailing list to follow our journey.
