The Brief

 

Building Equilibrium Lifestyle.


Having previously built the website for their sister company, Life Equilibrium, we were thrilled to continue working with this client and establish a new brand identity for Equilibrium Lifestyle. After evaluation, our initial main goal was to create a distinct online presence for their latest venture, selling sustainable well-being lifestyle products. This began with a website conversion but soon turned into brand development and website redesign.

- Create an E-Commerce website

PHASE 1

Brand Development and Refinement.

Visual Branding

We worked hand-in-hand with the client, drawing inspiration from their brand name and core values to create a logo that feels calm, eco-friendly, and rooted in sustainability. To keep everything feeling connected, we used similar imagery across their brands but mixed up the colours to give each its own personality while still maintaining that sense of unity.


The client really preferred face-to-face meetings, so we made sure to accommodate that by welcoming their key team member to our office regularly. This way, we were able to constantly collaborate, not just on a logo but on building a complete brand identity. For instance, we crafted unique icons that showcased their key selling points, bringing the brand to life on their website and beyond.

 

Branding and Communications

Since we worked so closely with the client, we really got to understand their brand values and vision. This gave us the insight we needed to suggest the kind of content that would resonate best on their website. For example, we highlighted their bespoke process—from locally sourced materials to handcrafting each product—and made sure to emphasise their use of eco-friendly materials.


By focusing on these elements, we were able to capture the heart of their tagline, “Made with love,” while bringing their ethical values front and centre.

PHASE 2

E-commerce Website Design.

We recommended switching the E-Commerce website to WordPress after the client mentioned frustrations with Wix, especially when it came to handling more technical needs. WordPress is not only more flexible but also a great option for businesses that are growing and need custom features.

Thanks to our experience building E-Commerce sites, we were able to suggest the best ways to showcase the client’s content and products. We also encouraged them to create a clear vision, mission, and values statement to give visitors a strong, cohesive message and a seamless user experience.

PHASE 3

Technical additions.

As we developed the website, we took the time to carefully review all the extra features that Equilibrium Lifestyle needed to ensure their site would run smoothly and efficiently. Some of the key additions included:

Stock Management System: We added a built-in stock management system that automatically alerts the business when stock is running low or when items are out of stock. Plus, customers can register their interest in out-of-stock products, which helps Equilibrium Lifestyle understand which items are in high demand, making it easier to plan for restocking their handmade products.

Abandoned Cart Recovery: To increase sales, we integrated Mailchimp with the checkout process to remind customers if they leave items in their cart. These personalised reminders encourage shoppers to come back and complete their purchases, boosting overall sales opportunities.

Shipping Options: We made sure customers had a range of shipping choices by integrating options like Royal Mail, DPD, and international shipping methods.

Flexible Payment Options: Understanding that flexibility at checkout can make all the difference, we suggested adding payment options like Klarna, making it easier for customers to choose how they pay.

Social Media Integration: Equilibrium Lifestyle was eager to expand their social presence by adding Pinterest to their existing channels like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Setting up Pinterest was a bit tricky, so we worked closely with them to get the account up and running, and made sure it was fully integrated with the website.

Charity Support: Equilibrium Lifestyle also wanted to support their chosen charity, Ocean Clean Up, directly through the website. This required a custom solution, so we liaised with the Ocean Clean Up team and built a bespoke integration to make it happen.

PHASE 4

Further Marketing Materials Support.

Alongside the website build, Equilibrium Lifestyle needed help with packaging and marketing materials. Our creative team got to work and carefully designed packaging and promotional materials that aligned with their brand values. Since sustainability is at the heart of what Equilibrium does, we made sure the packaging was eco-friendly. The cardboard was not only recycled but also fully recyclable, and even the glue used was water-based.


Thanks to our extensive network, we were able to recommend trusted printing and packaging suppliers who specialise in sustainable materials. Ensuring Equilibrium Lifestyle could stay true to their eco-conscious mission.
